Following a very successful workshop held in Delft which compared geotechnical design code experiences in Europe and North America, the organizing committee decided that it would be beneficial to produce a single book containing papers on the theme
The idea is to provide a single resource that developers of geotechnical design codes, as well as all those trying to understand these codes, can refer to as a guide in the years to come. The book will ideally include proposed future code directions as well as the very valuable information about what did and did not work in current code implementations. We would like input from as many parts of the world as possible to achieve a broad spectrum of experiences in code calibration and implementation.
Individual papers included in the book will each be about 10 pages in length and the book will be published by IOS Press. The time line is as follows;
The book is scheduled to appear in the fall of 2012.
